Si Si is an Associate Professor, Master Supervisor, Director of Arts Management Theory Teaching and Research Section of Arts Management Department, China Conservatory of Music. She holds a PhD degree in media economics both from Communication University of China and Case Western Reserve University in the US. Si Si is also a Visiting Research Fellow of Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, University of Oxford. She was a director of editorial department at China Business Update (2005-2008), a journal published by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. From 2008-2009 she was a journalist of USA Sino News, covered reports of Cleveland Cavaliers 08-09 NBA season in the US. Si Si leads several research projects, supported by Beijing Municipal Social Science Foundation, Beijing Municipal Commission of Education Foundation, RISJ, University of Oxford, Hunan Broadcasting System, etc. Her publications include dozens of papers, several books and participating UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions China’s part. Her Major academic part-time is Deputy Director of Media Economics Research Institute of Communication University of China, researcher of China Music Research Base. Her research interests are culture and art economy, music international communication, new media and music industry.
