Speaker Bio:

Rachel S. Bush received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Carolina and is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Prior to her work as a PMHNP, she worked in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has worked in several hospital settings including inpatient psychiatry and outpatient partial hospitalization.  Dr. Bush has a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Counseling and a Master of Divinity (MDiv), and approaches patient care from a holistic perspective. She is qualified to treat mental health conditions across the lifespan with evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.  Dr. Bush uses an integrative, trauma-informed approach with special interest in depressive and anxiety disorders, trauma, and bipolar disorder. In addition to treating patients, her primary role is as Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina where she teaches mental health nursing in both the undergraduate and graduate school.
